Mock Tests In order to pass your Local Government driving test you will have to demonstrate a good understanding of the Rules of the Road and an ability to drive safely in accordance with these rules while showing regard for other road users. You are also required to perform requested manoeuvres such as turnabouts, reverse parks and hill starts. While you will have covered all of these areas during the course of your driving lessons with your instructor, we suggest that before undertaking your official driving test you should consider taking a Mock Test with Mini Motoring School. Mock Tests are based on exactly the same format as Local Government Testing, using expert Testers and following Local Test Routes and can be used to assess your readiness for the driving test. By sitting a Mock Test you are able to experience first hand a simulated driving examination. You will know, step by step, exactly what to expect and what is required of you in a real test situation. Any driving weak points that you may have will be exposed during the Mock Test and can be discussed and corrected prior to sitting your actual Driving Test, with additional tuition available as required. The Mini Motoring School Mock Test is based on the following format: Our instructor will collect you as normal and you will drive to our designated test centre; The Tester will ask you to produce your provisional licence. The Tester will examine the licence photograph, category and expiry date; Next you will be tested on the Rules of the Road and required to identify road signs; The Tester will check your vehicle to ensure is road worthy and has current tax and insurance discs and have you sign a roadworthiness declaration for the vehicle. The tester will compare this signature to that on your driving licence; You will then be asked to demonstrate your driving skills which will be examined by way of an actual Test Route and will include driving manoeuvres and knowledge of hand signals; After returning to the test centre you will be advised of the Tester’s report and given the Tester’s grading marking sheet; It is at this point that the Mock Test differs to the Local Government Driving Test as you will now be able to discuss your test and the results with your Test Examiner and your instructor. |
